In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the leading air travel apps in the United States showed varied trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

American Airlines saw its weekly downloads fluctuate between 136K and 159K, with a noticeable increase in mid-December reaching 152K. Active users also varied, peaking at over 3.5M in early October but dropping to around 3.3M by the year's end.

United Airlines experienced steady download numbers, maintaining between 134K and 158K weekly. Active users showed a more dynamic pattern, starting at 3.4M and reaching a high of approximately 4.2M in mid-October.

Fly Delta downloads ranged from 119K to 149K, with a steady increase in late November. The app's active user base was robust, fluctuating around 3.7M to 3.8M, with a slight dip in early November.

Frontier Airlines showed a consistent download trend, with numbers between 104K and 140K, and a notable peak in mid-December. Active users increased from 833K at the start of the quarter to over 1M by the end.

Finally, the Southwest Airlines: Travel App maintained download numbers between 98K and 124K. The active user count was strong, consistently hovering around 4M to 4.8M throughout the quarter.
